With the new year now well and truly underway, chances are you’re ready to take on this new year and make success happen! The key to making it happen though is setting defined goals for the year and then working on actual plans to make them happen.
If your goal is to make more money this year and create new business for your business, then you’re going to need to get stuck into your marketing. Now, let’s be honest. There aren’t too many people out there who say, “Gee, I really don’t want to make any more money this year. I’m happy to just not progress at all.”

Fact of the matter is, most of us want more money! We want more business and we want to achieve a higher level of success in our business.
If we do things the same way as we have always done, well, the results are going to be the same. If you have made $50,000 a year for the last year and you’re not willing to change a thing about what you do, then you’ll probably have a $50,000 year again. If you had a $50,000 year last year and this year, you want to make $100,000, then you’re going to have to change things to faciliate that increase in business.
So what do you do?
The thing you simply need to do is make a concentrated effort when it comes to your marketing. Gone are the days of simply sitting on your laurels and waiting for the business to come to you. Gone too are the days where you had to pay so much money just to get a decent ROI (return on investment).
The internet makes it so much easier. I’m staggered at the power of social networking platforms like Facebook and most recently, Twitter (which I think I’m going to actually become addicted to!). You can quite easily garner a following by doing free stuff like Facebook and Twitter.
But once you have that following, what do you need to do, in order to actually see a financial gain?
There are a whole host of things that you can do to keep your existing following happy, attract new people and attract business. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to talk here about the things you can start doing TODAY to make it all happen.
